THE HOUSE ON EUCALYPTUS STREET STILL WHISPERS
This story is devastating in so many ways. The fact that the police were right outside when he took all of these innocent children from this world as their mothers were screaming for them to be set free just makes it even more tragic.
Marcus Wesson is a child r a p i s t and mass m u r d e r e r convicted of nine counts of first-degree m u r d e r and 14
s e x crimes. His victims were his children fathered through ancestral
s e x u a l ab use of his daughters and nieces as well as his wife’s children.
After dropping out of high school he joined the Army. Shortly after leaving the military, Wesson moved in with an older woman, Rosemary Solorio, and her eight children in San Jose, California. In 1971, Solorio gave birth to Wesson's son. In 1974, Wesson began sexually abusing Solorio's eight-year-old daughter Elizabeth. Wesson married Elizabeth when she turned 14 and he was 34. Four months later, she gave birth to her first child. Eventually, the couple had 10 children together, including one infant who d i e d.
Wesson did not maintain employment, depending on welfare and even forced his adult children work and give him all of their earnings. The family often lived in run-down shacks, boats, and vacant houses.
He was abusive towards his wife and children. He prevented Elizabeth from participating in the children's upbringing. He homeschooled the children and taught them from his own handwritten Bible that focused on Jesus Christ being a vampire. He told the children that he was God and had them refer to him as "Master" or "Lord." He said that the girls were destined to become his future wives. Which is even more depraved.
Wesson began teaching the girls o r al s e x as young as 8 or 9. Their domestic responsibilities included washing Wesson's dreadlocks and scratching his armpits and head. The girls were not allowed to interact with their mother or male siblings and if they were caught, the consequences would be a punishment which involves at least 30 days of 21 lashes in the morning, 21 in the afternoon and 21 more lashes at night according to one of his surviving sons. Both male and female children were physically abused. Wesson r a p e d two daughters and three nieces beginning at age eight; all five girls became pregnant.
In the discovery+ “D e a d liest Mums & Dads” Season 2 Episode 1, it is explained that Wesson made a deal with some of the girls who decided to leave, in which he would release the children when they became a particular age. He did not keep his promise.
On March 12, 2004, several members of Wesson's extended family, along with two nieces who rebelled against him, converged on his family compound demanding the release of their children. Fresno police were summoned to what was described as a child custody issue, and a standoff ensued. Wesson told the police to wait at the door and disappeared into the home. When he came back to the door, his clothes were b l o o d i ed. His son explains in detail what transpired on the show.
In the aftermath, police discovered nine bodies, including two of Wesson's daughters and a total of seven of their children, in a bedroom filled with antique coffins. Each victim had been fatally s h o t through the eye. Wesson's other children, who were not present inside the house, survived the incident.

Wesson claimed his 25-year-old daughter Sebhrenah committed all the
m u r d e r s, including of her son Marshey, and then committed suicide. The murder weapon, a .22 caliber h a n d g u n, was found with her body, and Sebhrenah's DNA was found on the g u n. There was also no g u n powder residue on Wesson's hands at the time of his arrest.
Wesson was convicted of nine counts of first-degree m u r d e r on June 17, 2005, and also found guilty on 14 counts of forcible r a p e and the s e x u a l
mole station of seven of his daughters and nieces. Wesson was sentenced to d e at h on June 27, 2005, and is currently in San Quentin Rehabilitation Center.
The house that the m u r d e r s took place in was later demolished.
