Wendi had two sons Joshua and Brian Jr. from a previous marriage . She met a man named Brian and they started dating. Brian lived with his elderly mother and Wendi admired him for taking care of his mom. 


In 2018 Wendi and Brian got engaged. Her son Joshua found out from a post on Facebook. She told her son that she met Brian online and she was in love. Joshua decided to look into who Brian really was. He found an article about a kidnapping and the suspect had the exact same name…. Brian Chevalier

Joshua discovered that Brian was charged with râpe and kidnapping and was out on parole. He was sentenced to 30 years but only served 13 . When Joshua mentioned it to Wendi, she said she already knew and Brian was actually falsely accused 


Wendi introduced Brian to her family. They noticed he was wearing beads around his neck and assumed it was related to spirituality. The family was very uncomfortable with Brian. They knew about his past and didn’t trust him . Wendi truly believed Brian was innocent and wanted her family to accept him….. But things changed. 


Brian started being very controlling. He wanted Wendi to be with him all the time. When she wanted to go visit family, he would get upset. This went on for a while and Wendi finally called the engagement off via TEXT. 


A few weeks later a 911 call was made by Wendi’s brother. He found Wendi in the basement, dead. She had been stránğled . There was an extension cord as well as a zip tie around her neck  Detectives found bloodstained sheets on Wendi’s bed. There were obvious signs of a struggle. They also found BEADS on the floor in Wendi’s room  Her car and wallet were missing. Surveillance footage shows Brian walking out of Wendi’s house the morning of the muřdèr. Detectives found his car and it contained a few of Wendi’s belongings as well as a receipt for zip ties. Brian is nowhere to be found. 


Detectives track the transactions on Wendi’s credit card and figure out Brian is thousands of miles away and probably headed to the border 


Reporters did some research on Brian. He had an extensive criminal background. He was arrested in his 20s for suffocating and rapïng a woman. Brian was captured as soon as he crossed the Mexican border. He refused to cooperate with police because they wouldn’t let him smoke a cigarett


Brian wrote a letter to Wendi’s family saying that they should file a wrongful death lawsuit against the parole board for releasing him on parole without the getting him the proper help. He knew he was going to snap. 


THE AUDACITY!!!!!!!! 


Brian plead guilty and was sentenced to Life in prison without the possibility of parole.
