ICE OFFICER ADMITTED HE R*PED A WOMAN IN CUSTODY FOR MONTHS
Former ICE Officer Admits to Abusing Power in Disturbing Case 🚨
A 56-year-old former ICE detention officer, David Courvelle, has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a woman held in federal custody at a Louisiana detention facility. The abuse reportedly took place over several months, exposing a serious breach of trust and authority.
Prosecutors say Courvelle manipulated the victim by bringing her food, letters, and photos of her daughter—items strictly prohibited under ICE rules—in exchange for compliance.
Court records also reveal disturbing details, including allegations that he arranged for others to act as lookouts while the assaults occurred inside the facility. Initially denying the accusations, Courvelle later confessed during an interview with investigators.
He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 10. He now faces up to 15 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
The case has raised serious concerns about oversight, accountability, and the protection of vulnerable individuals in detention facilities.
